Specific focus of the Living Lab: 

Look at the impact of plant-based nutrition on vascular health in obese children: 

  • Microvascular function and structure  
  • Blood profile (inflammation)  
  • Microbiome (TMAO)

Clinic Gaissach

The Clinic Gaissach specializes in the care of obese adolescents. During their inpatient stay, young people are not only encouraged to lose weight but also to learn how to eat healthily and sustainably. This is achieved together with a team of health professionals, educators, teachers and chefs.
