About Sweden…

  • 86% of children between 1 and 5 attend preschool 
  • 750 000 meals are served in preschools each day 
  • 11% of 4-year old children are obese or overweight 
  • 80% of municipalities have a food policy to promote healthy and sustainable eating 
  • Unique chance to influence through law-enforced healthy preschool meals 

Goals of the Living Lab:  

To decrease the environmental impact of preschool meals, while also promoting healthy eating, including pillover effect to homes.
