PLAN’EAT’s first key reports on the future of European food systems
05/05/2025

After two years of in-depth research, the Horizon Europe-funded PLAN’EAT project has reached an important milestone: the publication of its first public reports, now available on the project website.

These reports shed new light on:

  • How the food environment influences our eating habits, particularly for vulnerable populations;
  • The health, environmental, and social impacts of current European diets;
  • Practical dietary recommendations that balance well-being and sustainability;
  • A toolkit for launching living labs across Europe, enabling local actors to co-create change.

From Sweden to Italy, the findings highlight the urgent need—and opportunity—to rethink how food is produced, accessed, and consumed across the continent.
