PLAN’EAT launches its Knowledge Center
01/09/2025

After three years of intensive research, experimentation, and collaboration, the European PLAN’EAT project has reached an important milestone: the launch of its Knowledge Center.

This brand-new online platform brings together the project’s most important results, tools, and methods in one place, making them accessible to researchers, policymakers, and citizens.

Why is this important? Because food systems are complex. Since September 2022, the PLAN’EAT consortium, made up of 24 partners in 11 countries, has been exploring the social, environmental, and economic dimensions of our food—from sustainable diets to food environments to the factors that influence eating behaviours. The project’s work has generated dozens of reports and methodological tools, many of which were highly technical and difficult for non-specialists to understand.

The Knowledge Center is changing that. Designed with clarity and user-friendliness in mind, it transforms lengthy research findings into concise, visual, and actionable information, while retaining links to the original documents for those who wish to delve deeper.

With features such as 3-minute summaries by topic and ready-to-use toolkits, the platform is both a space for understanding today’s food challenges and a resource for taking local action with approaches that have already been tested in PLAN’EAT’s Living Labs.
