Launch of the Knowledge Center

Three years of research on food systems now accessible to all
← Back

The European PLAN’EAT project, funded under Horizon Europe, has reached an important milestone: the launch of its knowledge center, an open-access platform designed to make three years of innovative research on European food systems widely available. This new digital hub transforms technical results into practical information, ensuring that PLAN’EAT’s impact continues well beyond the four-year duration of the project.

Why a Knowledge Center?

Since September 2022, together with our 24 partners across 11 countries, we have been conducting innovative research and practical experiments in the field of food systems. Thanks to 9 living labs and a dynamic network of scientific collaborators, the project has produced:

  • Dozens of reports and comparative analyses.
  • Field studies in multiple contexts.
  • Innovative methodological tools.

But while these results were already public, they were often dense, technical and time-consuming to read. Some reports were over 50 pages long, making it difficult for non-specialists or busy stakeholders to access this knowledge. However, this research provides valuable insights not only for academics but also for policymakers, food professionals, and citizens seeking sustainable solutions.
The Knowledge Center fills this gap by offering concise, visual, and accessible summaries, while referring to the detailed original documents for those who wish to explore the subject in greater depth.
